I've been seeing a lot of rainbows lately (it must be that time of year), but this one is fantastic.
I love how you've manipulated the image to really highlight the contrast between the colorful rainbow and the clouds. I like that this isn't a completely grayscale picture with only the rainbow in color-- keeping the sky a steely blue adds more depth to the picture overall. I do love that you've left the foreground in total darkness-- it would detract from the impact otherwise.
All in all, this is another stunning example of your work, my friend! Excellent job!

Thanks Heap! Keep trying... Took lot of shots playing with exposure... Underexposed compared to camera's meter to darken the foreground (as it was pretty ordinary)... Cheers for the Watch too!

I really dig this image. The only part that throws me a bit is the clarity of the tree. I would be curious what you found if you zoomed in on it in the original and looked for any chromatic aberration. The Camera Raw program in photoshop should let you correct for this. All in all though, I really enjoy this photo. It's a wonderful juxtaposition of something typically "cheerful" with contrasting "darker" elements.

Thanks! I shoot in raw and started to play with it but ended up looking to fake so in the end just loaded the jpeg and cropped out a tree's branchs that I didn't see in the view finder... Just got photoshop, bit of a step up from elements and steep learning curve!

I had to crop out a section on the left where I caught some tree leaves but otherwise as shot... The circular polariser brought out the rainbows strong colours...

Thanks! Had a circular polariser which made the most of the rainbow colours and underexposed to get the silhouette effect...
