Would love to see the photos when you do! ^^
What zoo do you go to?

Usually we go to the zoo in Portland, but there's also a raptor center in town I need to visit, and there's also an animal rescue on the coast I am quickly learning my 200 mm lens isn't quite powerful enough for wildlife though

I haven't been to the zoo in Portland though students from my college take trips there from time to time during the semester so I'll have to plan a visit.
I started with a 200mm and there are tricks I've learned that helped me get closer to wildlife I could share.

I haven't been to that many zoos but the one in Portland was my favorite. The exhibits are the largest I've seen, and I feel like that's really critical to keep the animals happy. If you ever feel like visiting, I'd be happy to go on a photography adventure with you
And I would love to hear any tips you can offer! It's really a shame but I just haven't had the time to go on photography treks so progress is slow

I'll have to check it out then! Sometimes the students from NU make trips down to Portland (mostly to go to Voodoo Donuts).
So I'll have to plan a trip there during break
I know how that feels. I had no time almost all of Winter Quarter for photos and the ones I did take I still have to go through...
No problem! ^^ I'll get together all my notes and look through my older photos for examples.

Thank you! They were so fun to watch. I hope I can see them again before they get too big.

I bet! Young cats are always fun to look at. :3 You never know what they're gonna do.
Well, i'm guessing you'll find a way. :3

Yep! And there's tiger cubs at another zoo nearby.
Well I do have to go over to Kirkland right by there for college (got accepted into Northwest University and accepted into my major ) so shouldn't be too hard. ^^

Thanks! And for the in the industry hands on film production part you go to LA for a semester and learn right there. Of course I found out it's right next to the tar pits where the volcano erupts from in the, cleverly named, movie "Volcano". I grew up watching it, one of my favorite disaster movies next to "Twister".
I'm actually more excited to take photos of the area myself and Photoshop in lava and a volcano lol xD

Oh man! That's awesome!
XD Haha good ol' photoshop. (My only complaint about photoshop is how it ruins the validity of photos...)

Yeah there's a lot of ethical issues with Photoshop but in my case if anyone really believes there's a volcano in downtown LA, that's pretty much on them.
For most photos I go by journalistic standards which are extremely strict about keeping it a real as when you took the photo, colors, light and everything.

Ah that's true. XD Sad part is, a lot of people would believe it too.
That's good! Excellent law to abide by, I must say.
