Great Shot!
I spent most of my boyhood (many years ago) on Kodiak Island, Alaska. These were one of the most common birds in the woods around our house. The local name for this beautiful thrush was 'Russian Robin'.

Thank you! ^^
Ah cool, I didn't know it by any other name.
It's one of my favorite birds personally. It's probably the particular one that truly really got me into birding when I think back. I just didn't know it then.
To make a long story short my first bird guide, the Sibley one, had this thrush as the cover image. When I looked it up in the book and found out I could find it where I lived I was thrilled since most widespread guides then didn't normally use birds like thrushes as the cover image and if they did it wasn't native to my area. So it was the first bird I sought to find before I got into photography plus birding.

Beautiful image! I have never seen one myself. I heard one for the first time last year, but haven't yet had the chance to photograph one.

Thank you, they tend to be flighty and really cautious so it's hard to get a decent picture of one in general, even from inside the house.
