Oh I went and saw this big guy as well! I thought the enclosure and the bird looked familiar ^-^ fantastic shot, considering you were shooting through the chain link

Thanks! ^^ I've found using a telephoto lens helps blur out fences and the like at the right distance. They have these stretchy bars now so a little less obnoxious than chain link but still to get the right distance is hard during the crowded summer.

Well I had a telephoto lens and it was at the zoo. So I wasn't that close. Plus that was really the only way around 20 other people. It was a busy day.

135mm at the uploaded resolution is quite close! Β I had to use a 500mm lens with the one I photographed. Β 
I love tocos...I love tocos! Lalala...

Huh, I didn't look to see the focal length, I just know that's my longest lens is 300mm which I use 90% of the time.
But they are great birds, that was the first time I'd seen one not in pixels ^^
