Would you mind if I emulated the use of color and your compositional structure as you have here in this piece for school? I am an undergraduate illustration major; this is for my drawing 3 class.
I would create an image rather different from yours in content and meaning, but I would utilize the compositional structure and color pallet you have used here. I would need to make color prints for reference.
If you would be willing to allow me to use your piece as an inspiration, I would of course give credit to you in any publication.
Please consider and get back to me as soon as Tuesday, October 7, 2008. I do apologize for giving you such short notice and hope that you have time to contemplate and respond to my request.

Thank you for your consent, however, I already made one trip to kinko's and don't plan to have any more reference prints made. I'll keep this piece in mind for future such projects, though, I assure you.
