This reminds me one scene from "The Fountain" movie and even if I canΒ΄t tell that I understand symbolism of that scene, I like this concept... I just found myself wondering if he is making himself vulnerable, or opening himself in positive meaning... do not mind me, sometimes I just talk too much :_D
Nicely done, thatΒ΄s all I can say

While it's been a long while since I've seen the movie, I listen to Clint Mansell's soundtracks frequently when I'm drawing, and his score to that film and 'Moon' are among my favorites.

I'm glad you think so, I felt so too^^ For me this piece represent that vulnerability that you have when you're just starting a relationship. You have to put yourself out there, open your deepest emotions and give all to be able to win all. But this also means that you can fall from the top and lose everything. That is what I feel when I see this.

If I'm not mistaken, the reference is from SilvieTStock's gallery (I paint her quite often, myself). If so, you ought to give a shout out and a link back to your model, as this is a great piece!

My apologies! She has several very similar poses and is very lean, hence my mistake. Still, it's a fabulous piece, and I'm glad to have found it (not that that makes up for my being a "give credit" troll... damn).

Absolutely amazing. The concept in this piece is lovely and your drawing technique is flawless. I love the amount of detail you incorporated in this piece, when I full screened it I was just blown away. My only suggestion is that it seems like the biceps and upper arms could use a little bit more shading, but other than that this piece is perfect!

Two weeks...probably 6-8 hours every day for two weeks. And a really sore wrist when it was all done......I need to avoid stippling for while now....
