I prefer this tutorial for a more Truxton styled explosion, since I'm making a vertical shooter much like what I said.

I feel like the explosion should have a bigger impact, but it's good as it is right now :b

i wanted it to be small so it won't use bigger space .

Well, there's another way to make it have a much more intense boom by just adding a completely white frame, or maybe deleting some frames to make the explosion go faster (and maybe both!). At the moment, the thing that kindah got me is how sluggish the explosion is after the first 2 or 3 frames, making it look a bit too slow for an explosion. Again, I think it's too many frames.
