For some reason I feel obligated to share one thing a day. Sadly, this guy isn't finished yet, so you get to see him in progress.I'm trying to redo an airbrushed poster I did in.. 1996? I don't have the poster anymore and I am trying to recreated it from memory in photoshop.
Next part that needs to be fixed is the mouth.. My original alien didn't have a mouth, and I'm not sure this one will either, but

piece of cake? heh. been working on this since Thursday (umm.. 3 days ago? ) Probably 12 hours in the final piece. To get to this point was probably 6 hours.

such a juicy color! *jark would love this, i bet. yellow aliens, go figure. how do you get the reflection in the eyes so clean and shiny?

well.. I..
1) make a selection the same shape as the eye
2) contract the selection a bit (eh..5% of total area?)
2) make a new layer
3) get out a gradient tool from white to transperant, fill in on the diagonal you want the light from.
4) free transform tool (CTRL+T) Play with it till I'm happy.
Pretty simple really.
