Description
This is the interior/rear view of my scratchbuilt custom Castle Grayskull. I made it by carving extruded foam with heated tools. I added details with Mulliput. It was painted with acrylic (which, handily protects and seals the foam).I've made it to scale with Mattel's Master Of The Universe Classics toys, which were designed and sculpted by The Four Horsemen [link]
I wanted to make it so that the doorway was big enough to fit He-man riding Battlecat so it grew in height from there. I stands 32" high and 29" wide. I based the front on the box art of the original toy and also an illustration for a cardboard backdrop (though I'm not sure where that's from- if anyone knows what I'm talking about let me know...).
I left the gun off the top of the left turret because I wanted more room to display more figures. The Interior of the Castle is a bit like a showroom for the toys.
I really liked the idea of the stairs leading up to the balcony/window that you can see from the front. I thought the chamber with the window would be a good place to put a stand for King Grayskull's orb if they do one. I also think it would be cool to have the weapon rack they did on front were Battlecat is in the picture, but alas I don't have one.
I tried to make as many different levels as possible so more figures can be displayed. I chose to stick with the green stone texture and colour throughout. I didn't want to invent too many features on this side, I just wanted it to be good for display. I think that it should be filled with things from the actual e-man mythos rather than things I've invented. Also, the figures are really colourful so they look great standing on it.
It was super fun to make- I hope you like it!

Thanks a lot! It took absolutely ages but I learned a lot in the process. Once I've taken some better photos, I'm planning to sell it in order to finance an even bigger, cooler one.
