This was m project for the last two days, mostly starting as an experiment with light, color, shadow and a new style that finds itself wedged between the cartoon realm and the realm of realism.This picture goes out to my deaaaar DEAR friend Trish . HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY!!! I love ya girl, hope you like your creation Cougari!

Totally awesome possum, gal! All the color is wonderful, and the detail! Damn! I'd come and pick you up on a street corner and pay you twenty bucks for some ah that!!!! The toon and realistic elements balance perfectly. Although, the only thing I see that's particularly toonish is the shape of the ears, and maybe the size of the eyes. But anyhow, this is awesome. So awesome, I believe I'll have to fav it right now.
I wish I could work in files larger than four inches on PS or I'd try some detail meself.

This picture was a pain! But I think I am starting to get the hang of fur better. I think I need to try the opposite, work small and see what I can do without the overabundance of detail

Too right we do!!!! I'm leaning towards moving up to the northwest coast when I get the chance. It seems like my kind of people live around those parts. We'd definitely have to visit!
Working small is my only option ^_^;;; but it's more up my alley anyhow. All that nitpicking makes me cry! I don't know how you do it.
