Description
"THIS spring as it comes bursts up in bonfires green,Wild puffing of emerald trees, and flame-filled bushes,
Thorn-blossom lifting in wreaths of smoke between
Where the wood fumes up and the watery, flickering rushes.
I am amazed at this spring, this conflagration
Of green fires lit on the soil of the earth, this blaze
Of growing, and sparks that puff in wild gyration,
Faces of people streaming across my gaze.
And I, what fountain of fire am I among
This leaping combustion of spring? My spirit is tossed
About like a shadow buffeted in the throng
Of flames, a shadow thatβs gone astray, and is lost."
-"The Enkindled Spring", by D. H. Lawrence

This hand crafted wire wrap pendant is FOR SALE. Silver plated copper wire wreathes like warm summer wind around luminous green sea glass and green and yellow glass beads. Pendant measures 1.5 inches in length and comes with a complementary ribbon or cord; these may vary with stock. Please note the photo does not do the shininess of the wire justice, nor are the "wounds" you may notice in the metal at all obvious in the flesh; this piece is very -small- and intricate.
This piece is my entry for =onlyone7 's seasons contest: [link]

Thanks! I don't know - there's plenty of other talent on this site to compete with. Either way, it's always fun. Waiting on another contest right now I thought was supposed to be announced as of yesterday ... but still hasn't.

Admirable interpretation of the poem. Once more I see it has more of autumn than spring, but the green high hopes that enlighten its core are great. I wish you good luck with the contest, I'm glad there's one for artisans too

This pendant is so energetic-looking, and the colors are so pretty, perfect for Spring. And the poem is a beautiful way to start my morning, the imagery of bonfires of green.

When I see this I immediately think of candy. It has that lovely happy, cheery look to it that just radiates sweetness. Lovely!

Ah, a very delicate piece. It never occurred to me before, but I suppose you must use round-nosed pliers to create your squigglies?

And I, what tassssty of taste am I among
This leaping lanche of nuggledom? My plush is tossed
About like a prey caught in the toothiness pink place of pink,
A snail with butter, a Tiger Dog that's wondered into his realm,
And is eaten.
