toronto fashion week.must have been two or three seasons ago. i love making photos like this.
i also love the colors - they remind me of "goosebumps" which was one of my favorite shows/book-series when i was a kid.
for those trying to learn: this was taken at about 1/8s handheld for f/16. wanted to get the pan on the model's walk!

I do not see any compositional rule breaking in this picture.

the rule of thirds. google it. it does not follow the rule of thirds in that the composition is all in one line, on a background. where the rule of thirds is you have to have a subject in 3 of the boxes or similar horizontal and sideways. this is pushed to the limit in both confining the composition.

thanks. it takes practice ... but when you nail it, it looks great. has to be with the right model/clothing too. i think if she was wearing a colored dress and didn't have the same confidence in her walk, this shot wouldn't have worked as well as it did.

thanks man... i think so too. runway photography can get so boring if you do the same shot over and over and over again, which unfortunately is what 99% of the photogs do. it's good to get creative with it sometimes. glad you noticed!
