I just referred to this 70s suburban legend phenomena a few weeks ago.
I made a similar obscure reference, but the other "old guy" in the room knew exactly what I was talking about.

I don't know about creepy, I think it just comes out as contrasting......nice though...like the yellow raincoat imagery.
