Description
The stairway of the n-w side of Palazzo Carignano, Turin, Italy, leading from ground to the first floor.This is actually a panorama image, made by stitching three shots together, then cropped to the regular 3/2 size.
I also applied HDR processing to the shots before stitching them; finally I converted the image to black and white.

thank you for your kind comment. i was undecided about uploading this one or the colour version. as i wrote in the description, i applied some hdr processing to recover detail in both lights and shadows, and this gave the image somehow dreamy and suggestive colours, however not so faithful to the real thing. in the end, i chose the black and white version. it keeps the details and represents the essence of the scene, rather than it appearance.
