Description
Those of you who've ever had the privilege to use a cintiq for any length of time can attest to the fact that it is not only super awesome and convenient, but also seems to generate heat equivalent to that of a thousand burning suns right underneath your drawing arm. This by no means hinders the awesomeness of the cintiq, it just makes working from home in 100-degree weather super great.Related content

Uuuugh, tell me about it! Stupid heat wave nearly killed me on Monday. I was supposed to go camping over the weekend as well, but it was canceled due to the sun trying to murder all of us.
I'm just glad my workplace is air conditioned. =_=

Too true!
That's one reason I like working with the 12wx - there might be less space to work in, but at least it puts off far less heat.

That did happen to me a lot with my cintiq, but mine is medium sized so it's mostly my hand that gets burned TT--TT
so I always keep cold water and tissues when i draw, cuz I know the heat will kill my hand or my cintiq

I'm lucky to live where it may be warm but it isn't very humid, so my intuos survives it

Possibly, but they'd probably get you warmer and not have the same smoothshiny feel ;D
Nah, I'm not trying to make people spend money. It was just a friendly suggestion for a fix, 's all
(also I think they look cool >_>)

It's a great suggestion, Verdokai. Especially when I think about light weight fabric in this heat. Definitely looks cool, too-- drawing with a cutoff sock on your hand could be odd ordepressing at times, I suppose.

Bise1986 In reply to jello-bomb [2010-07-10 14:33:56 +0000 UTC]
This kind of summer isn't standart in Germany. So some people have something like this. At home we've got a ventilator.
BUT what's the meaning of really hot days?

Well then you all must be suffering!! Just about everyone here has an air conditioner, and most people also have a pool - my family does! On really hot days you can jump in the pool and come inside again and be cool all day! Easy!
