Oh come now, the God of Hammers isn't going to kill someone whose managed to prove their logic is flawed (and look at Notch in the last panel, he's aware now of that flaw)
Now the more interesting piece in all this is that we've got a timeline for Hero's actions.
1) Rules town at Notch's behest until downfall
2) Rules Nether until Notch established councilΒ
3) Challenged Notch to duel and attempts to murder
...somewhere inbetween these 3 we see Hero go from deferential to hommicidal against humanity and Notch. We've seen humanity and spawns explained... but... why try to murder Notch?

I like this guy. He knows about what's going on. Unlike Notch, he realizes that Hero is not healthy in the head.
Notch, think about it from Hero's perspective. The village killed a girl he cared so dearly about. They called him a demon.
He tried to protect them, and all he got in return was scars on his mental well-being. You haven't been helping one bit.
Instead, you are the reason Hero is as he is now. He's lost all sight of who he was, and you have only been ignoring his pain.
You need to grow up. You've been acting like a child. You still are now.
You want to be a good person? Do the best thing you can, and help your brother.
