Description
Guthrie's main task is to proclaim will of the Great Ancient Ones in this world. He also make initiatory rite for those who wish to become acolytes of the Great Ancient Ones. All who wish to undergo the initiation rite must simply look inside the sphere, which in appearance resembles a giant pearl. If the applicant doesn't lose his mind health on what monstrous visions and images he saw inside a giant pearl, he rightfully becomes an acolyte of the Great Ancients and takes his place in the cult.
Those applicants who have not passed the initiation rite and have lost their minds are deprived of their life soon. Some applicants not only lose their minds, but also lose their human appearance turning into one of the creepy creatures whose image was demonstrated them by a pearl.
When Guthrie being a simple mortal man, he also went through an initiation rite. And although his body has undergone terrible changes, his mind has remained sturdy and clean. He is grateful to the Ancient Gods for his new body and considers it their highest manifestation of favor.
