"OFF!" Veejay shouted.

Jayden complied quickly, while maintaining her cheerful face,"Yes'm."

Veejay slumped to the ground,"Source, Deiju, and all things between, if you bearhug me like that ONE more time I will fucking die."

Jayden giggled,"Sorry auntie."

Veejay got to her feet and pointed her finger at Jayden, she opened her mouth to speak, Jayden spoke first.

"I'm going to be staying for a little while more, okay? My vacation is for at least a week!"

Veejay's angered face sagged to horrified, her finger slowly curled back into her fist, she lunged forward, hauling Jayden up off the ground by her arms, the expression on Veejay's face was of intense annoyance,"You. No. Stay. Here."

Jayden's eyes got glossy,"But-"

"You have caused nothing but headaches and injuries since you've gotten here! There is no bloody way we are related---such as that would be! I do NOT believe you are from the future cause that shit is BULL! As well, you coming here could cause some horrific change in the past if it were true! You know what I think?! I THINK YOU'RE GODDAMN CRAZY IS WHAT I THINK!"

Veejay dropped Jayden on her feet, and took a deep breath,"There, I got that out. I feel be--oh boy."

Jayden burst into tears,"YOU'RE SO MEAN!"

Veejay put her hand over her face,"That may work for kids but you've gotta be your father---BASE'S age at this point of your life!"

Jayden just continued crying. Veejay rolled her eyes,"This is bullshit. I'm out of here. I'm not going to stand around here while you try and make ME feel bad for letting you finally have it."

Jayden continued crying. Veejay sighed and plopped down on the ground next to her, she put an arm around her and hugged her into her,"For goodness sake, I' m sorry okay?"

Jayden whined. Veejay rolled her eyes,"Can't you...y'know prove it by telling me something that'll happen sometime soon or something? Like maybe during this week or something so you can say that you told me so?"

Jayden sat upright and sniffled,"Dad makes you a patch for your coat...is has the letters DSFF on it with a big star on the back, it's blue, yellow, and has white letters, and its in a circle."

Veejay blinked,"HE makes it."

"He draws the idea, he had someone else make it, I never asked who." Jayden whined.

"St-stop crying! I apologized!"

"Syclone told me about some of the parallel timelines...if you wanted to hear about those." Jayden sulked.

Veejay blinked,"Who the flying hell is Syclone?"

"He's a clone of dad."

Veejay slumped against the wall,"...there will never be another sentence in the world to inspire as much what the fuck as that."

"You and dad die in one of them." Jayden offered.

Veejay raised her hand and finger,"Point; I stand corrected. Well, go ahead, let me have it."

Jayden closed her eyes and spoke.

Later on Veejay walked into Base's hut, she didn't bother knocking anymore, especially since he might be asleep. He wasn't home, she looked at the table, there was a piece of paper; a note?

She walked over to the table and picked up the piece of paper, she nearly fainted. On the piece of paper was a design, a circle, and inside of the circle was a star, and the letters DSFF.

"I feel like someone just walked over my grave, all my quills are standing on end."

Veejay put the paper down and walked outside, shutting the door behind her,"I don't...I don't think I can explain that one away." Veejay looked like all the color had flushed out of her face,"I think I do need to go home and rest."

A week passed, Veejay and Jayden walked through the Downunda forest side by side, in the past week, they'd become close, like an aunt and niece would. Veejay avoided questions about the future like fire, and Jayden was happy to pretend not to be from the future, she said she'd had her fun.

Jayden smiled and stopped,"Well, this is where we say goodbye auntie."

Veejay smiled,"Guess so, I'll sleep a bit easier now without you popping up out of the air."

Jayden giggled,"I'm sneaky!"

Veejay nodded,"Yeah, that you are."

Veejay watched as a golden ring appeared behind Jayden and slowly widened revealing a large blue static looking hole.

"By the source..."

Jayden smiled, tears formed in the corners of her eyes as they glossed over,"M'ma miss you." she choked up.

Veejay felt her eyes getting glossy,"Oh my arse, I'm probably on the other side waiting for my favorite pain in the neck to return."

Veejay sighed and opened her arms, Jayden gave her a big bear hug again,"UGH! Jeez I'll have arthitis by the time I'm forty!"

Jayden slowly put her back down,"Bye auntie, take care of mom and dad, and no playing cupid! I mean it!"

"Right right, dire consequences, possible divorce, less toys on Christmas, I remember the shpeel."

Jayden smiled and stepped into the portal, with a flash and a noise like wind speeding by, the ring was gone, and so was Jayden.

Veejay lowered her head and allowed herself a few tears, she patted the new patch on her left arm, blue, yellow, and white,"I'll see you again someday anyway, right?"

The not too distant future, the world is at peace with Robotnik's defeat having come. Robotnik's days are now spent as a maximum security prison attraction and celebrity of sorts.

A warp ring portal opens, a blue hedgehog steps through and the portal closes,"Home...mmmm...clean air."

An older female hedgehog walks up, her bangs are forward today, her quills pulled back into tarnished metal rings that have seen their share of scratches and dirt, but have been maintained nicely despite.

She wears a jacket, a bandana, and has a younger, but similar looking male standing next to her.

The blue hedgehog rushes forward and hugs them both hard, and they each groan,"Auntie! Cousin! You came!"

"J-Jayden! You're killing mom and me!" the younger male said.

Jayden opened her arms, dropping the two to the ground, and tilted her head,"Sorry! I keep forgetting my own strength!"

The younger helped the older up,"C'mon mom, up you go."

"Daviel, I swear your cousin is trying to kill me."

Daviel shook his head,"Nah, she's just really...affectionate."

Jayden patted off the older hedgehog,"Sorry auntie Veejay."

Veejay cracked her neck,"Y'always are you little turd."

Jayden giggled. Veejay hugged the young hedgehog girl,"You have the cuteness and innocence of an angel...how you keep up that facade is beyond me."

Jayden laughed and hugged Daviel,"I missed you both!"

Daviel smiled and gave the youth a noogie,"I'll bet you did, harassing mom in the past and all. C'mon, grannie Rosie's in town visiting unc, she's making a killer dinner."

Jayden's eyes went wide,"OHGODNOWAY! What're we waiting for!?"

Jayden grabbed Daviel's arm and hauled him along,"C'mon auntie! Let's go!"

Veejay smirked, "I'll be along soon enough! I'll catch up!"

The two drifted from sight, Veejay rubbed the worn and beaten patch on her left sleeve, faded blue, yellow, and a light gray from dirt, her eyes glossed a little, she blinked it away and smiled,"Always time to stand and remember some fond memories now and again."

Yup, this is the ending of Jayden's trip to the past, I wanted it to be long, a little wrenching, and to explain and mix a few bit of past of Veejay and Base that never really saw more than one day kinda.

I finally drew something, and god did I work myself on this story!

I really hope its up to what everyone's hoping for, I wanted something...heart wrenching, heart warming, something funny, something cool, and I'm hoping I pulled it off.

And as an added bonus I added a little sketchy thing of the patch on Veejay's arm, despite it not suppose to be there, for fun. XD
