Description
Chihtzhi are large, 6-foot-long bug-like people. They have a reputation for being friendly and having a cultural obsession with cute things, though every individual is different.Ancestrally they'd hunt and feed much like spiders: catching small prey, liquifying its insides, and sucking down the contents; occasionally supplementing their diet with some nutritious fruits. In modern times the vast majority of the population has never personally killed so much as a rodent and mostly get their meals as capri-sun-like pouches that come in hundreds of flavors.
Internally they're put together much more like a mammal than a bug, but they still can't handle gravity much more powerful than that of Mars without risking injuries from the slightest misstep.
They have around 20 babies at a time which live on their parent's back for a full year before they even begin to explore, and stick around until about 5 years old before they begin to disperse and start their own lives. They're pretty short-lived for an intelligent species, with an average life expectancy of 35.

Ok but the one with the cat ear things is my favorite.
Really interesting twist on the spider alien tropes! I can see though how they probably still get a ton of grief, just for being spider-like, among other races. Still, love these guys

Thanks! There's definitely room for a lot of awkward interactions

Haha yeah, I'd love to see someone interacting with one of them for the very first time
