Description Seol circles a single yellow star not unlike our own Sol, but the distant binary system it's orbiting with is easily viewed at night.

Despite being a warm-blooded placental species, skithtiri aren't closely related to Seol 'mammals' at all. They're much closer to the other reptile equivalents, many of which are also endothermic.

Well, being able to regulate ones' temperature isn't as cut and dry as we like to pretend, even among Earth species it's not as simple as mammals being all warm blooded and reptiles all cold blooded.
Armadillos, for example, aren't good at regulating their own temperature and have to behave like a reptile. It's seriously questionable whether they can be considered warm-blooded at all.
On the other side of thee coin, sea turtles seem to have an as-yet undiscovered mechanism for controlling their temperature to some degree, and thresher sharks are able to maintain their own temperatures well enough to be more energetic in cold water than their ectothermic relatives.

Seol 'birds' are a massively diverse group of little six-limbed lizards that range from tiny flycatches to aquatic polar dwellers to aerial predators.
Mammals are much less diverse, mostly limited to quadrupedal predators.
The sabertoothed cat-like Mourk family is the most famous and charismatic of the large predators, viewed much like how lions and tigers are by humans.

Culturally and biologically, skithtiri have as much regional variation as humanity. Despite the range of body shapes, sizes, colors, and patterns, there's only a single extant species and the myriad differences are entirely superficial.
They only produce purple and green pigment in their hides, with purple being somewhat more effective at blocking harmful radiation.

No particular race was unusually successful in conquering other areas(contrasted against the apocalyptic plague/s that allowed Europeans the opportunity to settle pretty much the entire continent of North America, which would have been utterly impossible had the land actually been a wilderness rather than slightly overgrown farmland abandoned by the decimated natives), so problematic issues of racial supremacy are somewhat more rare than among humans. That's not to say they're any less(or more) violent than humanity, there just wasn't the right set of circumstances and coincidences to allow any particular race a huge advantage over the rest.

Even without outright colonialism, there are still such insidious issues as richer countries harming poorer nations with excessive demand for resources(for example, a health food craze in Ananti driving up the price of Furr's staple crop to the point that locals can no longer afford it and must switch to inferior foods).

Body modification and fashion styles varied greatly on the homeworld, although after the advent of the internet different styles have become more widespread.

There are also a ton of different religions, with different regions having their own dominant belief systems. Unlike among human mythology systems, the most important deities in most skithtiri religions are female. This is unsurprising considering tak'shin hold most political power and are usually a third larger than the males. That'd take a whole 'nother picture dump to get into though.

Why does this have no comments? It might be done in 2014 but DAMN it's still cool. I've just come from viewing your other species and worlds and I must say, as a world builder myself you have quite a grip on creating believable and engaging worlds.

The details you've put into these races and even the ORBIT the planet takes is phenomenal, and inspiring to me. I'm hoping you'll keep going with these (I literally just found you so I'm not sure if these are still a go or not) since they're something I have yet to see in concepts for other planets and life outside our solar system. Brilliant work!

Thank you so much~ I just find it fun and relaxing to world-build, though I tend not to post stuff as much.
I mostly play around on my Wiki-> pc-universe-worldbuilding.wiki…
I can get as self-indulgent about chasing threads there as I want without feeling like I'm cluttering up anyones' art feed.

I'll try to remember to update here more often though. ^^
