Description
I realize after I did my previous Second Doctor/Brig piece I wanted to go to this sand mountain nar my house and achieve what I always associate with Patrick Troughton's era, namely the quarry operating as an alien landscape. I've gone outside a few times with previous pictures, and the results have, in my personal opinion, been mixed, but this is the first time where I feel like I almost nailed what I was going after (the grass next to the Brig...I could pull up as it was definitely rooted in place).I've also been enamored by the idea of Season 6B, the fan theory of the Second Doctor having adventures between the end of "The War Games" and the beginning of the Third Doctor era in "Spearhead from Space" (accounting for his return appearances in stories such as "The Five Doctors" and especially "The Two Doctors"). Lacking a Jamie, Victoria, Zoe, Ben, or Polly, I decided that the only companion that made sense to this Doctor was Lethbridge-Stewart. Who is to say indeed in that long stretch of travels before his next regeneration that he didn't ask the Brig to accompany him on several missions (my own theory, given the closeness the two had in "The Five Doctors" which could mean that the Brig could have joined the Doctor at some point during Season 6B).

Interesting theory. It would cool if you made some 2nd Doctor and Brigadier adventures in prose, comic or animated form someday. If you ever did get around to it I'd be happy to do voices for any animated Doctor Who video you might make.

I won't deny I am attracted to the idea of doing some "Second Doctor Adventures" since I do have the camera for it and will have the time. What type of program do you use for editing?

For video editing I use iMovie, for audio recording and audio editing I use Audacity, for special effects I use Adobe After Effects. Those are my most frequently used video production programs. For my comic strips I use Adobe Photoshop and Comic Life.

Ah, I don't have a mac so anything related to iMovie or Audacity I'm up the creek with lest I use movie maker or something.

I've heard that Sony Vegas Movie Studio is the way to go if you want a sophisticated video editor for a PC.

Yayyy!Β You're not the only one to think the Brig was his companion pre-The Two Doctors!Β Rose of Pollux' fan fiction has the Doctor mention that the Brigadier travelled with him for a while and helped his loneliness.Β And why not?Β The Brig was in a perfect place.Β he had his memories restored, he doesn't flinch, and they always got along well.
I was impressed at those two when I first saw them together in THE THREE DOCTORS, when the Doctor apologized for making a mistake.

I actually think I've read Rose of Pollux' works! I haven't read much fanfiction lately but that is one of the names that sticks out. Nice to know I'm not alone in that theory...the Brig should should have been a more consistent companion. I need to go back and watch "The Five Doctors" again, as I'm sure there's more to this theory than we all know.
