Description This was my finished piece for the Games Art And Music festival as a tribute to the fiftieth anniversary of Doctor Who, but also to the wonderful work of the actors behind the scenes. I took my three best images of the Doctors (my favorite of the trio? that photo of the Fifth) and created a triptych type of image for submission into GAAM's juried art show. Whether or not I will win is yet to be seen tho.

These all work so well! It's impressive that the dolls actually do look rather like the actors for a change! The Chris one even looks like it could be more of a sculpture than toy in the believable character/human stance you've got him in. The blurred orangey background contrasts very well with the shadowed doctor. Having Tom Baker Doctor in the centre with the very contrasting colours was a good choice. The simpleness of the picture, just having the black background is effective as, I suppose, this Doctor is colourful enough to not need the extra fuss of background colours! He really looks like he's checking his surroundings before going back in to the Tardis. So while the other two have some more contrast, the third has just as much effectiveness (really need to find an alternative word!) in its beige tones. The blurriness is again used in the right doses. He really looks like he's concentrating on steering the Tardis! I'm not sure which is my favourite as I appreciate them all the more as I study them closer individually.

Thank you so much for this lovely reply and critique. I can't claim 100% credit on the actual creation of the triptych, as it was my lovely girlfriend who helped me pick which of the eleven Doctors had the best overall composition and look to be placed together. My favorite is that third image of the Fifth Doctor, because I spent several weeks actually planning that specific pose and how it would work in conjunction with that version of the Doctor.

Check out the entire series I did paying tribute to the Doctors, I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

Thanks!

I've seen this a few times actually...it makes me wish there had been a Doctor Who anime, because either the Third or Fourth Doctor would have worked best in that kind of transition
