Description
Starting to get back into the groove of doing Doctor Who shots again after a very long dry spell. I'm upset I was not able to accomplish my goal of forty Fourth Doctor pictures like I'd hoped (today--December 28--does however mark the 40th anniversary of Tom Baker's first full length serial "Robot") but what I was able to accomplish I'm extremely proud of because it marked a somewhat renewal in my figure photography interests and probably helped boost my standing in some circles.That said, I wanted to do one of my favorite style shots...a simple Doctor/Companion shot at the TARDIS console, and using the Dapol set with a couple of choice accessories it almost comes across as a Season 15 style shot of the Doctor and Leela staring intently into the outer reaches of time and space.

too bad the dapol toys are so... "quirky" xD 5 sided sonsole, the 7th doctor figure being taller than the fourth ect.

That's primarily why I gravitated towards this...I'd heard that it was a good fit with the current Who toys and with Character Options/Underground Toys not wanting to take the risk in releasing their own console, to Dapol I went hahah.
I often wonder what Dapol were thinking releasing a console with five sides though...and not to mention a two-armed Davros.

I figure if Dapol were to ever get back into business, it'd probably be on the level of something like Funko's Re-Action figure line, just standardized 3.75" figures with maybe ten points of movement just to keep budgets down.
I figure too if Funko can get little details like Freddy Krueger's glove correct, they could somehow design a removable scarf for the Fourth Doctor XD

It could be better. I'm still doing my overnight gig at the hotel but I'm still putting out letters to potential employers on something else.
I'm also thinking about going back to school for my masters (or a Bachelor's in Fine Arts) next fall

Have you heard of a website called Fiverr? Essentially its hiring yourself out for commission work based on skills you offer. Biggest ones seem to be artistic. The money brought in isn't much but once you make a name for yourself things begin to pick up quickly on the site.

Great work, the only reason I fully know this is Tom Baker is they are showing old Dr Who episodes on TV over Christmas and I saw 2 episodes with him and that exact same girl in it, and as I notice all including credits lol now I know, rambling now.
