Aaahh, the beautiful, beautiful Alpha. My grail doll haha!
Your style is so fantastic, Batchix. Your dolls are one of the things that keep pulling me back to the hobby.

I saw one of the machina girls at an anime con bjd panel. She had steampunk clock-gear eyes. It was pretty kewl.

She was one of your lavender girls. It surprised me to see her since I didn't think your machina were that well known.

there's about 30-40 of them that were sold. So there's not a lot, but there's at least a few. :3

Well at least you can make some decent money with your art hobbies. Do you have any estimate on how much your MiniMachina might cost when you're done? I love her design.
And have you ever thought of trying to go bigger with your doll production? Like ever be in or start a company or something?

I make enough to cover the next castings, but that's about it. X3 Minimachi will probably be about $250-300? I'm not really sure yet. I won't know for certain until she goes in for casting. I have to move this summer*sobsob* so she's going to get pushed back till fall at the earliest.
I'm also running out of room to store dolls. x_x;; they don't sell fast enough to make shelf space!

Aww you have to move AGAIN. Lol that sux! Sounds rough.... Well... I hope to someday be able to sell dolls or something. My ultimate dream with that would be to make a casting company that actually uses a bunch of artists molds and sells them all, having different art styles... and paying the artists for their molds, while having the stability of something a little closer to a real company like Volks or what not.
Haha but... well, If that ever happens, I'll call ya.

Is that poor Mini hot-glued together! (Her face is by far my favorite of all you've made, and that's sayin' something!)

I use hot glue to stabilize her joints while i work on certain areas. Right now I want to work on her legs, so i don't want her torso to move at all. Having the torso stay in it's default position(it will stay if you're working on a single pose, but she gets shaken a lot as I'm man handling her legs) helps me to figure out if the legs are an even length and that both feet are flat on the floor in a standing pose. x3

And that is an awesome, logical, functional and intuitive reason that I accept. You know, hot glue just may be perfect for every purpose...

in my house it was hot glue to fix everything. My dad had an industrial hot glue gun. Most people use duct tape... but for us it was mostly hot glue.

A man after my own heart. A couple months ago, I found a hot-glue horse sculpture I made when I was little. I must've run out of clay! LOL
