Description Who's the friendly little bee
Playing all so happily:
Buzzing here and Buzzing there.
Busy buzzing everywhere.

Maya loves and Maya cares
Maya gives and Maya shares
Maya likes to play around
- But she'll never let you down.
Maaaaaaya
Maya the bee...

Yeah, that song brings back memories... I realise that Maya the Bee was for kids, and now I am far too old for it, but it used to be one of my favorite shows. In fact, Maya the Bee was one of the reasons I liked insects(The other one being I liked studying ants in Preschool) so, in a way, if it hadn't been for her: stuff like Sue and Louie might not even exist.

So buzz on, Maya- buzz on!

It's the cutest version of Maya I've ever seen! ;D

Well, since almost everyone knows Maya, in my country - Maja, I had hard time with my name. And you can guess - it's Maja, lol.
So when I was young I loved this cartoon and later kids were singing the song or just making a comment when they heard my name

My question is - would you mind if I use it as a tattoo?
I would just modify it a little bit

I'd be honored to see my art as a tattoo... My only request is that you somehow show me(Assuming the bodypart is acceptable.).

That really brings memories. I used to love Maya when I was a kid, I had books, toys, video casettes and everything. You should color this.

I've never heard of Maya... she's from an anime? I miss all those old anime movies they'd play on the Disney Channel back in the day, like Unico...

I THINK she's from Anime. It technically looked kind of animeish in the animation, but the artwork looked kind of western/anime mix.

Cartoons rule all and its great when they inspire you to create your own characters! I'm on an animation course so we get encouraged to watch loads of cartoons anyway so it's all good!

Actually Sue was more Sugery sweet like Maya was.

Then I noticed that there were a lot of female leads getting captured by evil, and being rescued by the hero, and I started wondering why, in these more politically correct times, they never did the opposite(At least, never on a consistant, public basis), and the first traces of Sue's current personality peeked up.
After that, I got a little crazy and ended up giving her a lot of qualities that would seem "Unattractive" for girls, and I'm quite surprised that she's now so well liked, but I'm glad. /\/\

Yeah i agree. I'm all for female characters being the heroes. Thank God for political correctness! No probs man.

How I remember the times when Saban actually ported good animes like Maya, Han Christian Anderson's Fairy Tales, and that one with the Koala Bears.

Which one with Koala bears? I remember The Adventures of the little Koala and The Noozles... Don't know which or if both of them had Saban behind them- you don't look at the credits when your 5-10 years old.

I did cause I was a TV addict.LOL! You're right though, it was the Noozles. Where when the girl rubbed her nose against the stuffed koala's nose he'd become real. I remember he also had a teleportation bracelet that those two bumbling crooks kept using to disasterous results.

The only eposode of the noozles that I remember enough of was when Sandy( the girl) wanted to look beautiful, so Pinky(the pink Koala) got some sort of magical make-up kit that would make Sandy "Look like a supermodel"... The problem was, it made her look like a KOALA supermodel...

kinda scarry. my name's Mia, but everybody would pronounce it as Maya, and back when that show was still around they'd start singing the song

Whoa... I know the feeling. Back when Martin Lawrence had that Sitcom, I had to hear the themesong every day.
