A little bit.
It is known that famous Georg Cuvier when he obtaind a jaw bone of Hyaenodon from France described it initially as a jaw of Tasmanian tiger

Not more than one mammal related to another. Tasmanian tiger is a carnivorous marsupial, related to quolls and tasmanian davil, while creodonts are archaic relatives of ferungulates - group which includes carnivors, true ungulates and whales.

Still no specific name. I spoke with the author just before New Year - the description of the species is still in preparation.
This guy (together with my restauration) is on the exibition in Moscow Paleontological Museum.
