Byron Adams pines after lovely Lenore, his childhood love interest. ^__^

Byron is a professor of biology, much to the dismay of his father, Eli Adams, who would prefer that his son find a more suitable "prosperous" occupation--rather than a... "PREoccupation."

One of the notes that I had written on the original drawing (which was done about a half-a-year ago, actually...) was that he had been taught by his father the value of social cigar smoking and brandy drinking, but Byron hates it. Makes him queasy and nauseous, poor guy. He's kind of an early 20th century nerd. ^__^ <3

After having drawn him, he seemed like such an interesting character, and this drawing (which was a mere scrap less than a week ago) has been one of my favorites for quite a while now. More recently, I've begun to ponder what other characters might occupy this professor's world, and I have started making a list and taking notes as names and personalities come to mind. It's been fun. ^__^
