I thought I'd post some of my earlier work, this one is from July of this year.(I'm taking a lot longer on the current piece than I'd anticipated, there are a lot of fiddly little details to it. It's satisfying, but slow)

This is from a book of hours, very late period, I think it was initially Scottish. It was on the British Library site, but they took it down, damn it. I should have saved every page they had up, it was *gorgeous*

Oh, you should have! It's splendid. I have some things like that in one of my calligraphy books and I've got The Painted Page, 14th century Italian early renaissance ornamentation. Great stuff. I love buying reference books and then hanging onto them for years, they always still wind up needed.
What I need now is bookshelves of course, and some serious sorting once I get more bookshelves!
