Given the right supplies, Oliver can disguise himself without magic.
Weaknesses:
Oliver has no knowledge of the modern day world. He can’t read English, doesn't understand electricity, and he really, really, really wants to fight cars. He thinks modern technology is cool, but he's scared of it too. He usually ends up breaking technology when he tries to operate it.
He’s vulnerable to normal weapons and magical attacks.
Can’t use magic in lion form or talk.
Most of his spells require him to be playing music or singing to work. Not subtle.

History: Born into a world of magic and monsters, Oliver had always looked up to his older brother. His older brother, Fred, was a talented mage. Fred was obsessed with finding eternal life. When he was older, Oliver joined him. Fred had Oliver help him with a variety of things, but as he worked with Fred, Oliver found his tasks growing… darker. When he voiced his concerns, Fred threatened him and their younger sister, saying he would easily kill them if Oliver decided to try and stop him or quit. Oliver played along for a while, but was quietly scheming. When Fred finally had his ritual set, the ritual to bring him eternal life, Oliver struck.
Oliver was not as dumb as his brother thought he was. He’d managed to learn enough magic from Fred, had managed to pick through his notes to learn the particulars of the ritual. He’d figured out when during the ritual a disruption would be fatal, and he cast a blast of fire.
After his brother’s death, Oliver felt too ashamed of what he’d done to return home. He took some of the darker skills and contacts he’d found under his brother and applied them to become quite the criminal/ performer.
After a time, and some more guilt, Oliver joined up with a group to fight off an influx of monsters. He made a lot of friends, killed a lot of beasts and evil men, and even an evil vampire lord trying to fight heaven.
Oliver went on to adopt an orphaned child, Bianca.
While assisting with a ritual, Oliver and his daughter were dragged from their world to Wathais.
Description: Oliver is a shorter man with light skin, covered in scars. A large burn scar covers most of the left side of his face. He keeps his head shaved, but his hair would be brown if he let it grow. His eyes are brown.
Oliver’s lion form is just as scarred as his human form. He’s a large tan lion with a shaggy brown mane.
Personality:
Oliver is a vibrant personality. He’s excitable, friendly, and a bit of a trickster. He enjoys playful flirting, and can be oddly charming or totally obnoxious. He’s also entirely too crafty. He often plays the fool, but he’s quite sharp and is always paying attention. He doesn’t trust easily. He rarely goes into a situation without finding an escape route first.
Oliver can get quite depressed and cynical if alone for too long.

Spells:
Oliver can perform very minor illusions and tricks (light a candle, produce glitter, etc.) just with a flourish of his hands, but for other spells, he usually needs something more.
Oliver can usually only do four of his larger spells a day, five if he wants to be physically drained.
Fire blast- Oliver creates a blast of fire and directs it at an opponent. Requires ashes and singing or instrument
Healing- Oliver can heal minor wounds. He can’t heal a broken bone or anything super life threatening, although he can make a life threatening wound less life threatening. Requires singing or instrument
Spell killer- Oliver can counter some spells from other mages as they cast. Requires singing or instrument and shards of crystal
Dispel Magics- Oliver can break weak curses and already cast spells. Requires Singing or instrument
Song of Change- Oliver can transform others into animals for up to an hour. Requires singing or instrument and fur, scale, or feather of the intended animal
Entrance- Oliver can command the attention of beings around him, keeping them in a trance as he plays/sings. Requires singing or instrument
