These big guys are sometimes used as mounts to get around Bothea's underground waterways!

In the wild, these guys would try to eat a yevat in the water, but one raised by yevatem after having their egg stolen, or just familiar with them enough to know them as a source of other foods if left alive will leave them alone, or even help them if they seem to be having trouble swimming. If you meet one far into the wild, it's best to just fight back really hard, the turtle floaty guys are lazy, and don't like having to work for their meals.

In underground Yevat towns near water, local yevatem will often throw treats to the big turtle things to 'bribe' them not to eat a yevat that falls into the water. So, even 'wild' Turtle floaty guys near towns aren't likely to eat you.

These guys are big, and can often carry five or more yevatem on their backs. Traders will sometimes ride these guys with their goods to different underground towns connected by waterways.

The floaty turtle things generally spend their time just under the water's surface because they need to breathe air. they can hold their breath for up to half an hour if they need to. their belly glows to attract small fish to them so they can eat, but they won't turn up their noses at meat given to them by yevatem. They will also eat small critters if they fall into the water, so watch out!

They make a humming noise to communicate happiness, and like it when yevatem scrub gunk from their shells. They like pats on the nose too.
