Description Complete sequence for "Birgit".

Birgit s a short novel by Gudrun Mebs. It's the story of a girl's illness and death told by her little sister. The narrator is very young and she doesn't really understand what's happening.

It's a hard story but the point of view makes it very interesting and it softens a little the sadness of it.

I've just remebered I've never submitted the entire sequence, so, here it is.

If you want to know a little more about the process, you can look in my blog:

I have no words. This is so touching and so sad.... you just passed the story in a very amazing way, no words, just images... but... once someone said that an image worths more than a 1000 words.

This is so hauntingly beautiful and poignant - once again I could see the story just from your illustration, before I read the description.  It's a very sad, thought-provoking piece.  I'll try to search the book out, it sounds interesting!

This is really nice but also a bit sad for someone so young to experience this. You did very well with capturing the range of emotions.

Hello ...

Would it be possible to re-upload this image at a much higher resolution / dimension?

I know that you have individual images depicted here in your gallery, but I think that this one deserves to be viewed at a much larger resolution to be fully appreciated as it progresses from the leftmost image to that of the rightmost image (in order to really see the details of the paintings).

Thanks for your time.

And addendum comment of sorts ...

Regarding my comment above, I'd really like to see the final three panels of Birgit (her disappearing into blue petals) kind of made into a triptych of sorts.

It's a very cool (almost surreal) sequence.

Take care,
