Vehicle name: Axel

Type: 2 Wheeled Robot

Class: Medium

Special: Hammer Shockwave - The center humanoid figure transforms into a large spiked hammer and sits ready to strike. Upon firing, the hammer strikes with a lot of Force and releases a shockwave upon contact with the ground. Hitting an opponent directly with the hammer will create a much smaller shockwave but deals significantly more damage to the opposing car. Can be charged for additional damage and a larger radius.

Alt Special: Spinner Shell - By pressing up 3 times in the controller with the special selected, the robot will immediately close and hop onto it's side. Floating using air jets, 2 large teeth pop out and the whole robot spins, acting as a large kinetic spinning disc that does massive damage when in contact with an opponent, knocking them away in the process. Speed, handling, and damage resistance is increased in this state, but you cannot use any other weapons until the attack is up.

Driver: Alexander 'Axel' Hudson

Bio: Axel was always a pretty smart kid. He loved building things and took up a fascination with Fighting Robots after seeing them on TV. Using his tech skills, he built several crudely built robots using whatever scraps he had and fought them in a cage in his back yard. These backyard brawls drew crowds from several of the kids who would often rent out his robots or bring there own. Things were going good until Calypso caught wind of Axel's little hobby. He broke into his house during one of his events and stole his biggest robot, taking it on a joy ride. This rampage not only caused massive property damage, but also permanently crippled Axel after Calypso ran him down.

4 months later and Axel hadn't fully recovered. He hadn't touched his robots since the event, now realizing how dangerous they were. His friends tried to encourage him to get back into the hobby, but he doubted himself. Calypso eventually came back to "apologize" for injuring him, and told him that he was hosting his own little RC contest, which Calypso stated was "inspired" by Axel's bot brawls. Should Axel win, Calypso stated that he will allow him to walk again. Deciding not the to let the opportunity slide, he regained his confidence and rebuilt his most successful robot using whatever he could find, and prepared for Battle.

Ending: plays out for the most part exactly like the ending that was cut from the final game ( youtu.be/TlgrJQW0tzg)

I wanted to get back into doing my Small Brawl Re-Imagined series, and decide to go back and do art for one of my earliest Re-Imagined stories: Axel

Now a Battlebot instead of a normal RC car, there are a LOT of changes I made, such as using Saw Blades as wheel covers, adding a spiked wheel up front, 2 antennae, Shoulder rockets and (nipple) guns, and (my personal favorite) a Buzz Saw Mohawk. I had SO much fun drawing this thing, and I loved the idea of Axel being a Battlebot.
