Description

The next in my Twisted Metal: Small Brawl series isn't a Twisted Metal vehicle, but a vehicle from Rogue Trip!

Presenting GOLIATH!

I want to focus more on TM2 and Rogue Trip Vehicles for this series here on out to keep with the more cartoony aesthetic, and thankfully many driver concepts I was writing transfer over (such as Brimstone to Destroying Angel, Detention to Pyro, and Crazy 8 to Rock and Rule). The driver here was originally meant for Manslaughter, but I did Goliath instead and incorporated elements of Manslaughter into Goliath, since it was more fun to design that way.

As for the driver, well......There may be some sensitive topics discussed in the story below, so reader discretion is advised.

----------------------------

The driver, named Lil Eddie, is a boy who was diagnosed with mental retardation at an early age, and as such has been an outcast of society for years. His mother has always told him how special he was, but he never believed it. He has always had trouble making friends and due to his odd mannerisms and large physique, often weirding out or scaring the other kids.

Now, Eddie is a nice kid. Despite his odd nature, he is incredibly kind and wants to help and be friends whenever he can. In many cases, several kids have gone up and attempted to make friends with him, even saying they like hanging out with him. Unfortunately, As nice as Eddie is, he doesn't know his own strength, and he is a STRONG kid. His rough housing has often resulted in several kids getting injured or even paralyzed due to his bear hugs. As such, other kids now avoid him not due to his odd behavior, but because they fear for their lives.

Unable to take the isolation and his own self anymore, he enters Billy Calypso's game to finally be accepted. I have 2 wish ideas: The first is that he wishes to be normal like everyone else, and the second is to have a friend that will never run away and that he can never hurt.

His vehicle of choice is Goliath, a massive steam roller made using the still surviving parts of the construction toys he's broken over the years. A early level Boss vehicle, Goliath is a power house to be reckoned with, with both short and long range attacks. He has 2 specials. The first is the road roller, an infinite steam roller that crushes opponents and can temporarily stun them. The second is "The Big Dump". Using a heater built into the truck, he heats up the contents in the dumper (which usually consists of whatever he can find, such as mud, rocks, and dog shit) into a flaming mush, and flings them at his opponent. This special can be rear fired.

----------------------------------------

I had a LOT of fun designing this vehicle, and it may very well be my favorite I've designed to date. As always, I would love feedback, please let me know what you think in the comments.

"The big dump" is pretty funny, also like the idea of it being made from old construction toys. The first wish seems more reasonable, but the second seems easier for calypso to twist

Thanks, I know the Big Dump is low brow, but I had a lot of fun with it.

Admittedly my original ending idea revolved around the second wish. Calypso grants his wish by saying that HE will be his new friend (Expecting to use Eddie as a fall guy for his antics), but in a twist of fate, Eddie happily hugs his new friend in a bear hug, crushing Calypso's spine and killing him. When he realizes what he's done, he begins crying and shouting "MOMMA, IT HAPPENED AGAIN!"

Dark, but that's the point of this art series.

That's a pretty good double twist, it's dark, but compared to some of the other endings in the game it's almost heartwarming
