But I don't exactly see any usage of jet engines within Pinkie's helicopter... only basic rotors which by no measure should have enough lift for someone of pinkie's mass.

Well, by far it's quite proven that both pegasus flight and earth pony strength are driven by magic. At least as far as my analysis of series goes, but I'm not exactly sure if that applies to external devices as well.

Well, Deuterium is a form of Hydrogen, just an isotope of it known as "Heavy" Hydrogen, as it's got both a Proton ~AND~ a Neutron in the nucleus whilst Regular Hydrogen only has the Proton.
