It was the war.
Her injuries from her service in the war.
The rounds had mangled her.
Torn her apart.
Left her a mass of broken bones, torn muscles, and seared flesh.
She was crimpled now, and though the artificial, and highly advancedΒ legs gave her the ability to appear "normal" they did, much to her chagrin, keep all hope of human and intimate affection far, far away...
...that is until he entered her life.Β
Her one.
Her all.
He adored he with an intensity she thought...she feared that wouldΒ never come her way.
In his eyes she wasn't mangled.
She wasn't disabled.
No.
In his eyes she was perfect. Absolutely perfect and she adored him for it.Β
And as she lay her head against his chest, as she felt the rhythm of his heartbeat against her scalp, she closed her eyes andΒ surrendered herself to the purest warmth of his boundless love...

For some reason the man reminds me of like a younger Riddick...just a thought...your not weird for chobits watching...my mind kinda went that way just a little more bloody and a lot less elegant.

it's mechanical pencil. Actually, the linework is clearer but my crappy scanner usually messes it up a bit.

I think that this one is awesome.
It's got some strange things going on with his left foot and with how ridgid she is at the waist, but who cares. The concept and the emotion are clear, and it's a heck of a good idea for a drawing.
