Sherlock was always destined to fall. It could not be avoided. So no matter how tightly Mycroft held his hand - or maybe because of it - the fall was always meant to come.Mycroft realises Sherlock was always meant to fall. Just a quick sketch of an idea that came to my mind... I love this sort of half-prophecy theme
So here we have the Holmes brothers taking a walk on a foggy day, just after rain, and Mycroft holds Sherlock's hand as he strolls down a wall.

In season three I really want them to at least dedicate a moment to how Reichenbach hit Mycroft. It's my headcanon that he didn't know his brother survived and ruthlessly hunts his killer. And this just. Mycroft can't protect him from himself, and in the end he failed to save him.
