silly question but why do reverse lens if your using tubes. I use a 20 mm tube and a 55-200mm lens. and my photos look good. wouldnt that over magnify I may be wrong just seems odd to me.

This is a great tutorial! I had been using closeup filters before I got my macro lens and I loved them! I didn't know though that you could reverse the lens backwards and use it like that. I think that is awesome! I'll have to give it a try soon with my macro and see how close I can get!

wow! awesome pictures and tutorial!! btw, do u have any tips or advice for shooting with a 18-105 lens? actually, can i do macro shots with the 18-105mm? cus my macro dosnt seem to be really good, the details are not really sharp ): thanks !

use Raynox DCR 250, put on the front of the lens. It's magnify and close the focus distance.
