Story:
The news of Lola’s injury had devastated Aoife. She wouldn’t stop blaming herself for the accident, despite being told every day that it wasn’t her fault. In a last ditch attempt to cheer Aoife up, Amy offered her the chance to train her second Kaimanawa, Ollie. To her surprise, Aoife turned down the opportunity. It was no secret that Ollie had captured the hearts of everyone at the farm. His beautiful markings and charming antics never failed to make anyone laugh! Amy suspected it was because Aoife thought if she tried to train him, the same thing would happen to him as it did to Lola, but Aoife told her otherwise.

“Look, it isn’t because I think I’ll ruin Ollie that I don’t want to train him.” Aoife said to Amy.

“Then why not?” Amy questioned.

“I’m not just going to abandon Lola and go off and train some other horse just because she is on box rest! It’s my responsibility to be here with her and make sure she doesn’t hurt herself more!” Aoife said, exasperated.

“Ok sure,” Amy said, “Look, I didn’t mean to push it, I just thought you might want the distraction.”

“Yeah it’s fine,” Aoife said, “I will wait for Lola though. She’s worth it.”

With a smile, Amy walked off. She really admired Aoife and the way she adored her horse. It reminded her of herself when she was younger. Not that Amy didn’t love her horses now, but she had a career to uphold too. She couldn’t wait for a horse to heal and not do anything else on the side. If her high level jumper Beau was injured, she knew she would throw herself into training her future dressage star, Dreamer.
