Oh, I love the style you've used to colour the Fjord! Especially the barrel looks rrreaaal nice. There's a bit of "empty spot" on the neck which tends to draw he eye a bit too much, but overall I really like the colouring!
I also agree with ~GoldenDagger said about the bg style being a bit separate from the pony. However, instead of adding more detail to the bg (the lack of detail is actually a smart choice with ref sheets), I'd like to see a couple of sharp(er) edges. Like a couple on the tree and something on the foreground to give the piece a bit of depth.
All in all, I love the colouring on the Fjord, please don't lose that when you get more into HARPG. The style is unique. Nice piece.

wow thank you so much! I really appreciate constructive comments
I agree with you on the neck thing and definitely on the background crit! I must say I loved the Fjord so much I just wanted to upload it without spending ages on the bg. I will try adding some sharper edges as you've suggested - I've never thought of that before.
Thanks you so much, this comment has really made my day

may I add your Fjord to this group:
itΒ΄s a natural coloured horse breed based on Fjord horses
they are allowed to breed to fjord horses only
so I wanna ask if I can add your horse in a list as overview which Fjords are allowed to breed with them
pls let me know if your horse should be added there

my horse is a gelding, so cannot breed anyway! Thank you for the invitation, but I don't think I will register Dreamer there.

Me too. I have been involved with horses for 36 years, at least 20 of those wanting a Fjord and now I end up with two. I wouldn't have anything else now. If I had my way, there would be a Fjord in every barn!

aww I have been lucky that there was a half Fjord at my old riding school who I got to ride a lot
Now they have become one of my favourite breeds because they are so unique! I don't think many other horses have mohawks
and I would love for there to be a Fjord horse in every stables too!

In creating the personality of your Fjord you sure did hit the nail on the head! They are very willing but almost too smart for their own good. Nice job.

I really LOVE how you painted the Fjord, the rough edges, the colors and the mane and tail! I'd kill for your skills! But I think the background could be a bit more detailed. The differences in painting style between the Fjord and the background are big and it seems like it's not "one piece".
But other than that, you did a WONDERFUL job!

wow thanks so much! I know, I am really bad at background and I just wanted to upload it quickly, so it's rushed
Thank you so much for your comment
