Description This is one side of a flower pot that I painted for my mother. This was kind of a joke, the whole headless snowman thing. haha. Ok. I thought it was funny .

I have made one for each season, except summer (need to do that soon ) .

I think that this is cute AND funny
-but it may be better if you change the title of this to just "snowman"
that way it will be more of a surprise and will be [possibly] more entertaining.

(glad that you posted some of your decorative works here
honestly, it's not bad
and when you're ready
I think you'll do well when painting in traditional media.)

(-anyways, what do you think of watercolor?
-it's my favorite thing to use when I paint traditionally...)

Good idea!

I had to paint in my 2-D design class (just posted one!), and I used acrylics; but I have never actually done like a whole scenery thing. It has all been abstract, which I don't particullary care for, but in painting it is fine. Acrylics are all I use when painting.

As for watercolor, I have used it a little, but I don't really care for how it looks. I prefer detail, and watercolor just doesn't give me enough detail. I have seen some beautiful watercolor paintings though. Don't even get me started on oils! That takes forever, and I don't have the patience to do that. If I can't finish something in a couple of days, forget it!

heh, I understand about the whole not wanting to work on artwork for more than a few days- many artists are like that actually.

some artists just take breaks
or even hiatuses from their works and then return to it
later, or when they have fresh eyes

-I'm like that somewhat
but moreso, I tend to leave stuff unfinished
and I like doing quick things that don't take too long as well.

hmm...

You know, watercolor can give lots and lots of detail if used correctly...
but I'll talk about that later
(I could even show you how to manipulate it and stuff- but at another time...)

I have NEVER used authentic, traditional oils in my life
and I want to
but I don't think I have the money
or the space
(and not enough time currently, but that will change)
and etc.

I love Art Rage though...
(which I've probably already mentioned to you- I think).

(my, that was a long comment
I think I'll stop here- yes, yes I will.)

Yeah, money is a big thing with oils. Acrylic is cheap .
