Description
Here's a quick side view of Ri with Myasma Nettlebrook atop.
The bit of oak branch is again entirely polymer clay… no paint.
Still not finished. It needs a full base complete with moss and fungi.

haha… thanks Antonio. Just checked your stuff out… I hope to have a collection like your models/ornaments/dioramas at some point. This is numero uno! You've inspired me to do my baby dragon thing.

Wow this snail is... so realistic! I admit for a little moment I was wondering if it was a real snail.

That's cool. I should just say it's a stuffed snail and wait for people to work out how impossible that would be. You could freeze one…

The only place you'd find a stuffed snail is in a french kitchen...

This is stunning!!! I LOVE it I'd love you to teach me how to make sculptures like this, it's amazing. How big is it?

haha… well thanks. I'm loving doing it. I would love to teach it. It's very much about patience. An inordinate amount of patience to a psychotic level and complete single-mindedness…. that's 3/4 of doing this sort of thing. If you want to learn you will. Patience. lol.. I sound like Yoda.
Anyway… here's an idea of the size. 6 inches long and 5 inches high is what you see above. I'll take more size reference pics.

Heehee! It really is beautiful! Thank you for the picture, I can tell that you've really looked at snails, so much detail!!! You said that you didn't paint it? You have inspired me, thank you

No paint. It's all polymer clay. I use a slurry of polymer clay to create colour. It's a paint of sort… but it means that it's part of the clay rather than a layer of paint sitting on it that's made of a different material. I did become obsessed with snails yes. Thanks for your kind comments by the way.

thanks. Yeah… I only have a few of the snail and shell… but I do have more that show the construction of the rotten oak branch. I'll upload them.

Cheers mate… I actually thought of you when sculpting the little guy, in terms of getting crazy detail.
