Description
Leliana the Orlesian bard from the Dragon Age series. The title for this picture was inspired by one of the lines spoken by Leliana in the DAO trailer "Sacred Ashes" www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojFGcj⦠.Leliana is my favorite character from DAO and (unsurprisingly) the LI for my Grey Warden. Here Leliana is showing off her archery and acrobatic skills by taking an impossible shot to her enemy with Marjolaine's Recurve - the bow "inherited" from her mentor - and we can all pretend that the arrow is one of the prized Andraste's arrows!

NOTES:
- The model used for Marjolaine's Recurve is actually the DA2 one called "Longtouch" which shares its appearance with Leliana's longbow.
- For some reason the longbow models in DA2 do not include a bowstring, so I had to add one at my own end. Which in turn means the bowstring probably looks crappy... so, please don't look at that too much!

You can certainly use this as a reference for your own Leliana! Actually, the armor design is from a fan made mod by Aremeta (found here: [link] ) who gracefully allowed the rest of the world to freely use the resources of that mod!
BTW, can't hide I'm looking forward to seeing your Leliana fanart! She's my favorite companion from DAO and I'm always happy to see more fanart featuring her!

Wow! That is one of the best light armour designs I've ever seen for Leliana. Beautifully done.
I can see the idea behind the background, but for me I think it make's her figure harder to see (which is too awesome not to be clear.) It's her legs mainly I think, they get a little lost against the dark back drop. That's just me though.

BTW, the armor was of course designed by the guys of BioWare (should be part of the "Mark of the Assassin" DLC) so a big part of the thanks goes to them!

Hmm, you see I like the striking nature of the contrast overall. Maybe... I suspect you've already tried it, but rather than adjusting the contrast could you get away with zooming in a little on the background and make the chantry symbol slightly larger instead? That might put a bit more light or colour behind her legs mainly? And this is all purely hypothetical nit-picking btw.

As for the DLC, I'm told the armor is found there, but I don't have a clue where, since I'm yet to play Mark of the Assassin... should be a cool DLC though!
