This is definitely the most clear greyscale tutorial I have ever seen. Kudos to you!
I have always failed with grey greyscales, but never thought of a brown greyscale! I have always coloured my horses one by one which is slow and tedious, specially if you need to make multiple of them.
This will revive my desire to colour horses again, so I must dust off my tablet. Thank you so much!Β Β

This will be SO helpful! I only have a touchpad mouse on my laptop (my USB mouse crapped out a while ago) and while it's fun to shade them in, it takes forever. >.< I'll try using this; if it works out well, I'll post it and link to your tutorial

I just have one question that this tutorial didn't answer... how do you blend so seemlessly and get that super-shine? I understand this is a tutorial is aimed at creating greyscales (brownscales in your case

Well, maybe I'll do one once, but I must confess that I'm reaaally lazy to do such a big tutorial xD You can already see that I was lazy to change my software to write the explainations here -such a few explainations btw- xDD
But if I find the motivation to do such a big one, i'll do it ^^

Wow this actually looks like a great way of greyscaling that spares you the pains and lost nerves of finding a good way to merge actually grey greyscales with a flatcolour layer in the right way which makes it look like the horse you want.
