I like this piece because it's a bit more fun than my recent ones.I'm such a flighty person at heart. If things go wrong I leave. If I see a future problem I give up. After a while there is too much crap in that suitcase to even carry it anymore.
I originally wanted to have more stuff in that suitcase. Especially more personal and meaningful things (aside from my massive amounts of underwear). I discussed the concept with fotomann . He had sent me all these postcards and photographs he had taken in the mail and I wanted to kind of incorporate that into this. I also wanted to have a stuffed pikachu my boyfriend gave me but when I went to retake I forgot all about that stuff.

Oh, before i forget- when i was on my way home from canada, there was this....shady restaurant called "Jimmy C's" and i was like...LAWL...and tried to explain it to my mom and she was....all....confused...but...it was good times.

I love the concept here! I must say I'm similar in that I also have a lot of pairs of underwear, although not as many "designer/brand" underwear. I mostly have Merona brand. I really want to get more like these! I love undies!
When I look at the piece as a whole there's really a good composition there! You've got more yellow to the left and more blue to the right and a good mix of everything, all the elements in the middle including the undies.

I've never heard of Merona before. I used to own lots of Paul Frank underwear but lately they've been too ugly. I mostly have GAP and 2(x)ist underwear.

If you've heard of Target stores, I believe it's a brand exclusive to Target.
Probably why you've not heard of them. They're nice, but not as fashionable or playful as yours.
I like them though, snug, keeps everything where it should be and looks cool too.

Hahaha! That's why I can't wear boxers. Everything is all over the place. I looked up that brand and it's familiar but I couldnt put my finger on it.
I really like American Eagle underwear. Some of them are really bright. In fact I got this really great pair with bright green and a yellow trim. I'm going to make an alter for them.

1. All the imagery you mentioned above about baggage and running from it;

Its supposed to be kind of saturated. I forgot the name of the style but it's a varation of an old photography style, vintage like? I lightened it up though so it would be more "pop." I might go back and fix some of the frames, some are lighter and darker than the others.

i like the first pic best. interesting concept behind each shot tho. the last one i like the least...dont know why...idk. but the first one is because i always like it when the feet show and the fact that ur sitting on the suitcase seems symbolic of something...havent quite put my finger on it yet.

It's about trying to make something big into something small (the sitting on the suitcase). I chose the sitting one over another shot of me standing on the suitcase. I loved the one of me standing on it but the photo was too hard to fix up.
The last one is the end, but I kind of broke it up by putting the begining in the middle. I just thought it would be more pleasing to the eye because it's tall and breaks up the wideness(I guess that word works?) of the other photos.

I like the concept you had behind it. I can relate to what you're saying. I don't I realize I'm fleeing the problem, half the time though, until later when I realize I left it behind.
Hopefully if you re-shoot/edit this pic, you'll get a more of the detail you were trying to go for.

I don't think I'll be reshooting it again. Maybe if I want to make the quality better for a print but it was such a pain in the butt. I had to hang that wallpaper on my mattress, hahaha. I think the wallpaper is like the best part of the photo too.

Yeah, I think I can figure some of the psycho stuff out on my own and relate, but there are times when I need to know what the artist was thinking.

I personally love the first photograph, where you are sitting, because I used to do that if I had to hurry up and pack everything in my suitcase and leave. It makes it seem as if you're rushing to get away from the problem.

Me too. I think I might change the last photo though. Feet are kind of weird and I wanted to use a photo of me standing on the luggage intead but I had to a lot of editing on it and I couldnt get the wallpaper in the background to look so seamless.
