Description Convoluted title, I know. I was trying to get in as many activities as possible for this workaholic. Grant Denyer, V8 Supercar driver, Sunrise weatherman (until last year), former Dancing with the Stars champion, Australia's Got Talent host... the list goes on.

To top it all off, he's one helluva nice character. I was at in the crowd at Grant's Sunrise send-off and took along a 12x8 print of this pic to get signed. I scanned the image, copied and pasted the signature onto the digital image. I'll be getting the print framed and up on a wall at some point in the future.

Oh, if you're wondering about the 'Dog' reference, before graduating to V8s Grant was in the V8 Ute series (or 'V8 BRutes' as it used to be known) whereby the drivers are referred to by nickname; 'Mad Dog' came about because he was sponsored by a petfood company...

Actually I had to race away so I left it with one of the Seven 'minders' who offered to get Mad Dog to sign it for me. I went back after work and picked it up. I hope he liked it...

So true! Learnt that myself, today... didn't speak to him (couldn't get near him!), but the swarms of girls around him... I'm sure he was cursing them in his head but at least he was nice to their faces... I know a lot of race car drivers / people who are on TV... it all goes to their head.

Thanks again! I do love this one. The angle came about because QR is the world's most boring bit of tarmac. Yes, even - gasp - an oval would be more interesting. Same goes for the selective colouring; trust me when I say it's needed...

It just so happens that it's started a trend; I love the angle in many situations now...

Thank you so much. Yes, I'm most pleased with this one. A car's paint scheme is always going to determine the overall look of an image and this is one of the best and brightest. As for the racing, this is from the V8 Supercar 'Development Series', which is the domain of up-and-coming drivers - and those with less talent than money - so it can be quite entertaining, what with the greatly varying driving abilities down the grid...

all I can remember is that some of those super V8 drivers take part in the contest and they get to drive
a few different kind of car`s too ... like dune buggies and pick-up`s ... stuff like that.

I do know that it is a local event.

you should trying selling this image on Ebay as a Scan with the guy`s sigi`

I paid about TEN POUNDS for a scan of a Schumi picture` It was more than worth it to me
because it is still part of F1 History ... and that is How a buyer of your print would view it ?.

The image alone .. is a priceless colletor`s item ... but with the autograph scan` it is more priceless .

That he is. Probably find things a little easier next year minus weather duties, but will doubtless be a part of the V8 Supercar telecasts, as Seven has the rights to the series next year. I'm sure he'll continue racing too...

Thanks very much! I did take some at speeds as low as 1/80 but around this mark gives a perfectly clear shot while still showing some motion blur.
