Description Nothing for almost three years, and then two in one day! Consistency is sorely lacking, I know...

The main drawcard of the Gold Coast 600 is, of course, the V8 Supercars. I took a few hundred photos, but as I'm not a fan of shooting through fences, I thought I'd just throw one on here of the winners.

Will Davison shared his Falcon with international star Mika Salo, who actually drove the majority of the race, managing to pretty much keep pace with the regular V8 Supercars drivers. Will then brought it home on older tyres than the chasing pack for the win, bringing to a close 888's recent 'red-out' in the 2012 Championship.

This summer I took my camera to our local race track. None of my shots turned out haha. Lots of practice I guess

Davo's been my favourite driver since Round Two at the Creek in '08 (and there are a few pics from that event in my Gallery). Yep, I'm a DJR Team Mate, and even though he's not with The Team any more, at least he's back on the blue side of the fence...

I don't think you'll like the fact I'm a Holden supporter then In my defence, my dad goes for Holden, and if I went for Ford out-right then I'd be disowned But with the way drivers swap teams, I don't see the point in being purely red or blue. It makes my fanaticism seem pointless when they move *sniff* And my cheering is so damn valuable ^_^

Seriously, I'm a bit the same way. I mean, I drive a Ford, so naturally I'm a little biased, but some of my favourite drivers over the years have had Lions on their cars, so I'm more a team/driver supporter than an out-and-out blue-blooded person.

And I'm mega excited over the new manufacturers entering the game next season - I think it can only be a good thing, especially as support from the long-time makers has been dwindling for a few years now...

Definitely, I can't wait to see what the new manufacturers do V8 Supercars had to do something, with Ford downsizing all over the field is already biased one way, and it doesn't make for good rivalry to have all the one make. although having a Holden win every race wouldn't be so bad heh heh heh couldn't resist. I'm interested in seeing how different the Car of the Future will be to race though
