Description
Floating high above the worldI see for miles and miles
It's such a magic place
I can see through sleeping eyes
A message in the air
I hope will change the world
I look all around me, don't wanna change my view
Cause I been dreaming of love, baby I tell you
If you need a little bit of loving c'mon
I'll show you what to do
If you need a little bit of loving c'mon
I'll show what to do, c'mon
I can see for miles and miles
I got it all worked out
I wanna take you there
We'll stand upon the mountain top
Where we can scream and shout
And no-one else will care
Well i'm only dreaming, but it feels so good
I wanna dream a little harder, make it all come true

This is the first time I've ever taken photos in a plane. Some of the cloud formations really were quite spectacular from far above. As for the colours here, I've done no editing; this is purely how it turned out. Put it down to not being able to locate my polarizer; I used my sunglasses over the lens!

Thanks Jenni!
Yeah, I still like this one. It's amazing the effect polarised sunglasses will give when combined with the perspex of the plane's window.

Necessity is the mother of all invention. And I needed my polariser. Which I later found out was on a friend's camera since we'd been out shooting weeks earlier!

Thank you, m'dear. I'm quite happy with it myself! Really must try to find the polarizer though; it's not particularly easy shooting with sunglasses over the lens...

Well they do down here anyway. Not sure about the US/UK markets. In fact, the way things are being reported there at the moment, it's a wonder they let passengers on board!

very doubtful in the US/UK. very good chance of getting stopped by security if you do attempt that..even with a disposable

Oh I'm well and truly 'grounded' now. Flying's certainly not my preferred way of travelling but it does occasionally throw up some amazing views, such as this image...

I am curious to know what it is like taking photographs from a plane.

Restrictive, that's what it's like! Mind you, the task was made ever so slightly easier by being up front on a virtually empty plane. Still, there isn't a great deal of room to manoeuvre, and with a tiny window to work with it's quite the contortionist game getting the shot...
That said, I'm more than pleased with the result, especially given the makeshift polarizer!

Hmmm I guess I had never really thought of it as being cramped. I guess you wouldn't want to be clasterphobic and try to do that

Hey thanks! I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, considering how difficult it was to actually take, what with trying to fit my glasses over the front of the lens. It's a wonder it didn't throw the focus off; they're prescription lens!

I've thought about it before but normally I'm in cattle class, where you have exactly no room to move. To and from NZ, however, I was up front and relatively free to move around...
