I've been painting for over 20 years and to this day I do things different
You just have to experiment with everything and I mean everything!
You would be shocked at things that have gone in my art work over the years
All I can say is get good friends with your brushes! and you don't need expensive ones either just know how they behave

I certainly would be interested... I would love a workshop with you, but Flickr will do!  My newborn is starting to sleep and eat a bit more regularly, so I will be able to sneak out and do some priming and experimenting soon.  I've collected a few dozen dollar store squirt guns for practice and, while waiting for him to get a bit more independent, I've collected about 30 nice Nerf and BuzzBee weapons for production level stuff.
