Question: do you make these on your computer or is there a special software you have to download first? I am super new to this so I have no idea on how to make stuff in general..!

You can make it in paint.

Ooh, cool... Makes me wanna try some more pixelling... Shading is the toughest part next to deciding what to draw/pixel.

I like the focus on lighting, that's the stuff I need to work on ^^

I totally do mine this way, with the rough outline, refine and flip for symmetry :'D

Ah you should see mine >> I'm doing a big pixel piece at the moment and the majority of it is done from such a horrible sketch XD. I'm past half way though 8D. Then I can shower it with tiny people >D

Thanks a lot; I don't really know the first thing about doing pixel art, and this helped tremendously. I'll try to make something soon...

Awesome, I hope you have fun with it. In my opinion if you don't enjoy it, it's not worth doing.

If you don't have fun with art, then it probably wouldn't turn out good in the first place.

Yeah but there are still some things that some pixellists don't understand
I've looked through your pixel art before ^^ you're not bad, but I think you should try to make your colours a little more contrasting and your shadows a bit bigger and more defined.

Wow ,You checked my gallery !!

Thanks for the advice .

I admit that I'm a bit coward when it comes to shading and color-picking .I worry that they might pop-up and don't merge together and ruin the piece .

I guess that I'll have to try your advice next time ,God willing .

Don't be afraid to try something new, you won't know unless you try. If they're too close it doesn't look right either, just don't dither basic shadows either, otherwise if the colour is too dark it looks dotty. Dithering isn't really that useful I find, unless it's trying to gradient something, otherwise its not really needed, it doesn't work as well for doing folds etc.

Ah..That's a very interesting advice about dithering

Thanks for sharing your experience with me

Thanks, I wanted to do something a bit different for a tutorial, and not many people do it on glasses.
