I was supposed to upload Fluttershy, but I'm struggling to get it the way I want. Don't worry tho, I will upload her, and then Applejack.I was also practicing a bit, and trying some different techniques. I am quite happy with the result. This is a rough "preview" actually, I know the style is a bit different, but I wanted to see if you guys like it. If you do, I can create a "final" version.

This is really good, but I like the other Dashie better. Seconding the upside down tail, as well. I don't know about the cutie mark, but I remember that the top color in Dash's tail lines up with the bottom color in her mane. That allows for awesome effects during Rainboom, and also coolness during general flying.
One comment about the style: If you're going to draw Dashie with defined muscles, make her back legs a tad bit thicker above the joint. It looks fine in the style the show uses, but I think it looks pretty bad in this style. It's just not right. Actually, looking at the back right hip joint, it just looks bad in that entire area. Shouldn't her flank overlap her belly, not the other way around? We're not directly under her, we're more to the side. That might not be it, but I don't think it looks right, at any rate.

The color order of the tail isn't really a concern to me, but I'll remember to invert it on the future version. That way everyone will be happy.
I won't do it like this anymore, I'll tone it down a bit and make the front legs a bit shorter. My intention is not to make something accurate, I just want to change the style a bit (mostly to create a more three-dimensional head that I can rotate in angles that are almost absent in the show, and that are displayed usually in a very "cartoony" way, and to play with the wings too).
Now, regarding her back legs, I'll have to disagree with you. I really don't think I got it so wrong. I believe I should study her left leg position some more, but other that that... And the overlapping: I'll address that on your latest comment.

Probably it was just the shading playing some tricks on me. I really don't like how that bit looks, but maybe you let the shading get to its darkest too quickly or something.
I will caution you to remember that lack of detail and plenty of distracting lines does not equal 'edgy.' I don't think you got to that point on the wings, but a few of those lines seem needlessly distracting.
Besides that, I don't think there's any comment I could make on the style that you wouldn't notice immediately when you drew her in a different pose. Just keep an eye on it, and it should be fine.

Oh, no, I'm not trying to make it look stylized, it's just a rough lineart. This was just to get some feedback on the overall idea, so it's like a sketch. The final one will have clean lines, and better shading.
And I think the lack of a smoother transition in the shading you mentioned is because of her wing's shadow. At least that's what I think you're referring to.
